The Winterhaven twin bunk bed features the scalloped Winterhaven style on both the headboards and footboards, with rounded posts that add a royal look to the whole bed. The bunk bed can be used as two twin beds for younger children and then can be transformed to a bunk bed as they get older. Ladder is included. Rails included for top bunk. Accomodates the storage/trundle unit (sold separately). A bedroom collection that inspires the imagination, Winterhaven combines heirloom comfort with high functionality in a timeless design that adapts to all ages. The collection features gentle scalloping and bun feet design elements. Soft design elements coupled with a warm honey-tone pine and a heavily distressed finish will appeal to any child. This bed features a Hi-Lo Bed Rail Locking System that gives you two height settings for your mattress - Hi to accommodate under-bed storage and pull-out trundle beds, and Lo to convert the bed to a toddler bed - a safety feature - for that time when your child has just outgrown the crib, but not yet ready for a bed of regular height. This bed also features a handy Slat Roll Mattress Support that provides stability and eliminates the need to use a box spring or bunkie board.
