Summary: "Couldn't have made it myself for this $" 2006-02-28
Comment: My hubby is a carpenter AND cheap! He just brought it in and is putting it together. He keeps going on and on about the wonderful quality of the wood. He just said, "I couldn't have bought this bed for this price and made it myself!" WOW! If that is not the best review, I don't know what is. Do remember, that the child will in all likelihood fall out as it is for 6 and up. We are using mattresses under it. Also, none of your kids will sleep with this slide and ladder. Ours are all over it... boys and girls! They love it!

Comment: This review is for the off white girls version of this bed, the picture here isn't of the one they are selling. The girls one has pink and purple curtains and is painted an off white color.
I purchased this bed from Rooms to Go kids, I will never buy another piece of furniture from them again. Aside from that..the bed was delivered and set up in my daughters room, I clearly stated that I was buying the bed for my 2yr. old, when the bed was all set I noticed a warning label stating that this bed is not for children under 6, however the store had removed these label on their display. My daughter has been hurt several times on this bed, I don't let her sleep in it but unfortunately I am stuck with it in her room until they come and pick it up. The paint on all four posts was peeling off, this is not a good sign, it just shows that the paint is very poor quality and will not last, no one wants a bed in their childs room with paint peeling off of it.
Pros- cute bed, great idea. Would be better for a child 4 and up. Feels solid except for the flimsy slats holding up the mattress, I'd rather have the bunky boards!
Cons-poor quality, peeling paint, dangerous for younger children. Slats that hold the mattress are flimsy at best however there are a lot of them. Over priced in stores and maybe a little here as well considering the quality.

Summary: Well built, sturdy and tons of fun! 2005-06-07
Comment: First -- super fast shipping! The boxes (5) arrived within one week of ordering! The loft bed is exactly as pictured and extremely sturdy (held both my weight and my husbands without wobbling). It is not too high, but there were a few bumped heads until my kids got used to crawling in and out of the play area beneath the bed. The only thing holding me back from 5 stars was the directions - they were mostly pictures and few words/details. Regardless, it went up just fine in about 2 hours. Excellent bed for the price and I can't get the kids away from it -- it has been a pirate ship, dog house, cave and castle in just 3 days!!1
