Bottom futon bed uses full size futon mattress. Futon bed is adjustable and can be used as a couch or bed. Bunk Bed Regulations To help prevent serious or fatal injuries from entrapment or falls please ensure that the thickness of mattress and foundation combined does not exceed 8in. Always use guardrails on both sides of the upper bunk. Never allow a child under 6 years old on the upper bunk. Only one person at a time should be allowed, and a maximum total weight is not to exceed 300lbs on the upper bunk. Do not use substitute parts.
