Captains Bed Twin with Twin Trundle and Drawers in Cappuccino

We bought this bed for a "young teen" makeover of our daughter's room. She wanted a loft, but the sloping ceilings in her room prevented that. This bed is perfect because it's quite high because of the trundle/drawers underneath. We made it even higher because we decided to use the bunky board from her previous bed too, so it's now about half-way between a regular bed and a loft.

The bed arrived in three large boxes. One corner of one box was really banged up, so we were expecting the worst. We were amazed to find out that all the boxes are double-boxed, so the inside box was unscathed. That's a lot of extra care the company took to prevent damage. There were some dings here and there on the pieces, the most prominent one being the corner of one of the drawers. I weighed the option of delaying the assembly and dealing with exchanging the pieces for undamaged pieces, but decided to not deal with that hassle and proceed knowing that it wouldn't be perfect. Wanted this bed for a small bedroom. It is a nice bed and looks just like the picture. My only complaints: It had a small amount of damage, but it was in a spot that would not be seen, so I did not return it; and I got a 7.5" mattress for the trundle, it is an incredibly tight fit when closing the drawer, the only thing I can leave on the mattress and still close it in is a mattress cover and that scrapes. I would recommend a mattress no thicker than 7", preferably 6-6.5"

I bought this bed for my 5 and 3 year old and they absolutely love it! The packaging was safe and double boxed, the assembly was easy and the bed is sturdy, good looking and safe! The bed rolls nicely on carpet and does so with little effort. The only thing I did not like was that it comes in 3 boxes and they did not all come on the same day. Also, nothing is clearly labeled but its near impossible to use the wrong pieces! I consider this a great buy!
