I know, I know, just another review written by a displeased customer who likely won't be me, right? Well, I thought the same thing: "It's a perfect fit!", "There's nothing else out there quite like it!", "It's smaller and cheaper than the other solutions."

Where to begin?

1. Quality is terrible: The product is mostly MDF/Particle board, but not GOOD particle board/MDF like one gets at IKEA- I mean the first generation 1950's style particle board. I have put together countless sets like this over the years, but nothing comes close to the lack of quality assurance, shoddy quality, and terrible craftsmanship as this chest of drawers.

2. Nothing aligns once assembled: I am very experienced at putting things like this together- I will go to lengths to use carpenters glue on wooden pegs, follow instructions exactly as written, etc. Not even Bob Villa could put this together- there is not a right angle to be found once it's assembled.

I searched for a solid wood dresser and I choose this one as being the best for the price, which I thought was high. But with gas being as high as it is I was not going to go driving around to stores.
The metal fasteners are cheap metal and break when you try and tighten the screws, which you have to expect in this day and age.
The Sides and top are wood product construction which amount to a weak product which will eventually fail.
There is no way this product would survive a teen or child for long.
But I expected this when I bought it, so I spent extra time using wood glue and extra screws to make it as durable as I could.
The drawers are solid wood and I was pleased, but what made me do my first review on Amazon was when I went to put the drawers in and close them. They wont close all the way either due to the runners not being spaced right, (pre drilled holes) or the front pieces are different heights.

We purchased these dressers to go along with the junior loft bed. The bed overall was ok, seemed sturdy but a glued crack in the front piece was disappointing. In response to the dressers. Don't buy. The directions were incorrect, the pieces were mislabled. The dresser had to be taken apart and reassembled when the directions were incorrect; the screws and pieces broke. My husband put these together and he is quite handy and has a background in doing cabinetry. Everything regarding the craftsmanship of these dressers was very poor. Spend you money elsewhere for a better quality product.
