Pieces looked and felt flimsy when removed from packaging, but I assembled it and tested the bottom bunk. With weight on it, the entire framework visibly sagged when sat upon, and one of the long support beams between the footboard and headboard cracked in half with a BANG.
Since the company has an "as-is" policy with zero returns and zero refunds, I've got an expensive set of lumber with which to build bird houses... because it isn't fit for much else. It certainly isn't fit for my child to use as a bed. I shudder to think what would have happened if I had actually let someone sleep in the upper bunk at the same time someone was sleeping on the bottom bunk. Learn from my mistake. Buy something sturdy and substantial and SAFE for your children. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Bunk Bed Twin over Twin Mission style in Honey I bought this bed for my sons, ages 6 and 4, who needed more room. The bed were easy to put together. It took me and my husband over 5 hours to do it but they went together very easily. The instuctions only tell you to put 4 slates under the mattress but they give a lot more. We ended up using all of them because the mattress sags if you don't. We have toddler running around and we don't want her on the top bunk, so we didn't attach the ladder with screws and we just remove it when my oldest wakes up.
I am very impressed with this product. The price was well within our budget and the beds are very sturdy. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for bunk beds. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Bunk Bed Twin over Twin Mission style in Honey I recently purchased 2 sets of the Bedz King Honey Brazillian Pine bunk beds for a vacation condo in Wildwood, NJ that we recently purchased. The assembly was easy and straight forward. It took me a little over 1.5 hours for the first set and then about 1.25 hours for the second set doing both by myself. (I have a lot of experience assembling these type of things and do so on a regular basis) I would say the average person with a little mechanical knowledge should be able to complete a set in less than 2.5 hours with a helper to hold the pieces together.
I was really impressed with the construction, and how the pieces all fit together. I would highly recommend using a cordless drill to insert the phillips head screws as there are many of them that hold the bed slats in, but do not overtighten them. My only notable negative was that the ladder is a little more narrow than I thought it would be, however it is surely acceptable, but I would not recommend a...Read more |
