This review is from: Bunk Bed Twin over Twin Mission style in Expresso This bunk bed was purchased by "Santa" for my two children ages 6 and 4. It comes in two boxes, and in a third smaller box was the hardware and instructions. I had to have a friend of mine help with installing it due to the fact that in order to put it together the way it really needs to be put together, power tools are needed (power drill). He put it together in about an hour and I was in love with the color but mostly the quality for the price that I paid. I was a little worried since I wasn't able to touch and feel in a store, but I read some of the reviews and they mostly seemed on the positive side. I have to agree that this bed is really sturdy and I have no fear of my children's safety at all. It is classy looking, which was important to me, but I couldn't afford something from one of the more expensive Pottery Barn type stores. The top bunk I set up with the sides on to use as bed rails. The two year old feels like a big boy with his big boy bed and I feel secure that he will not fall on our wood floor overnight. The wood is quite soft and will dent easily, but for a childs room, they are perfect. I did have to secure them to the floor because they are so light they move easily. We are very happy with our purchase. Also, when they were shipped one of the pieces broke during shipping and bunk bed king replaced the item right away.
